Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • Water to cover

Nutrition Bonus

  • Helpful Hint: “Older” eggs, those that have been sitting in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks, are best for hard-boiling, as they tend to peel more easily after boiling.

Directions

  1. Place the eggs in a pot and cover 3/4 of them with cold water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil.
  3. Cover the pot, turn off the heat, and let the eggs sit for 12 minutes.
  4. Transfer to ice water or run under cold water for about 5 minutes.
  5. Peel and serve or refrigerate for later.
